Sifu Chris began his martial arts journey at just 14 years old and has never stopped refining his craft. His training has taken him across the globe, including extended periods in Germany and Taiwan, where he deepened his understanding of traditional martial arts.
Before committing to Wing Chun, Chris explored several disciplines—training in judo for two years, kickboxing for two and a half years, and spending four years with the WingTchun organisation. These experiences shaped the foundation that ultimately guided him toward the Wing Chun system.
Dedicated to excellence, Sifu Chris follows the strict training standards set by the Wing Chun Alliance, ensuring every student develops strong fundamentals and practical skill. His expertise has also been sought by police officers, security professionals in the entertainment sector, and martial artists from a range of styles.
Sifu Chris continues his own development through ongoing training with Wing Chun Alliance instructors, maintaining the high standard he expects from himself and his students.
I’ve studied Wing Chun for over twenty years, and for more than fifteen of those, I’ve had the privilege of training under Sifu Chris. Along the way, I’ve met many skilled practitioners whose insights have helped me refine my own abilities—a process I remain dedicated to every day.
Two milestones I hold especially close are earning my 1st Technician grade in 2013 under the late Grandmaster Kernspecht, and achieving my 2nd Technician grade in 2015 with Grandmaster König.
Since then, I’ve continued to broaden my understanding of the art, exploring new perspectives and applications from various Wing Chun lineages while contributing to the evolution of our own system. With its many branches and interpretations, Wing Chun is a living discipline—one that invites continuous learning.
What I find most rewarding now is helping students develop a deeper grasp of our Wing Chun method. Supporting them as they grow in skill, confidence, calmness, and control—within a safe, encouraging environment—is both an honour and a responsibility I value deeply.
I’ve been practicing Wing Chun for nearly a decade, dedicating my training to its principles, techniques, and practical combat applications.
As an instructor, I strive to create a supportive yet disciplined environment where students of all levels can develop with confidence. My teaching focuses on efficiency, centerline theory, and structural power—guiding students toward reliable, functional skills while deepening their understanding of the system’s precision and philosophy.
I’m committed to honoring Wing Chun’s traditional roots while helping modern practitioners apply its principles in a clear, practical, and accessible way.
